She currently serves as the Creative Content Director for the Political Science Student Association at UBC, where she’s all about sparking dialogue that makes people stop and think. Whether it’s through events, posts, or creative campaigns, Mick aims to get students talking (and sometimes debating) about the world around them. Outside the PSSA, Mick founded the Penny Pack Initiative, a nonprofit charity that puts together comfort and care kits for vulnerable communities. She’s also had a blast working with her local municipality, helping pull off street festivals and community events side-by-side with civic leaders (including the Mayor’s office, and her local MP). At her core, Mick’s passion lies in civic engagement, community building, and storytelling. She’s just as excited to dive into a late-night philosophical chat as she is to plan a campus event.
